THRACE. Perinthus. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Pentassarion (?) (Bronze, 32 mm, 24.54 g, 7 h), circa 198-218. ΠЄPINΘOC Head of the eponymous hero Perinthos to right, wearing tainia. Rev. ΠЄ[PINΘIΩN] N[ЄΩ]KOPΩ[N] / A Tyche (?), on the left, standing facing and holding rudder (?), and uncertain figure, on the right, standing facing, wearing kalathos and holding prize-crown (?). BMC -. Schönert, Perinthos -, cf. 203 (same obverse die, but a differing reverse type and 16.49 g only). SNG Copenhagen -. Apparently unpublished and unique. Somewhat rough, otherwise, good fine.
